About Us

Dr. Stephanie Baker, the founder and director of Baker Psychology Cork (BPC), brings a wealth of experience from across the UK and Ireland. Working with individuals, families, children, and young adults, Dr. Baker's expertise extends to the court system, local authorities, and the NHS. As a Chartered Educational & Child Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, she is dedicated to helping people in Cork and beyond.

Dr. Baker is a graduate of University College Cork (UCC), the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), and holds a Doctorate of Educational Psychology (DEd Psy) from the University of Bristol (UOB). Her doctoral research focused on Children in Care and their perceptions and experiences of education. She has also conducted research in areas such as Domestic Violence and Bullying. Dr. Baker continues to practice internationally and in Ireland, developing her special interests in Mental Health and Children in Care, alongside her teaching roles at the University of Bristol.
